Lift-Off to a scaled collaboration
Flight Levels Day 05 Talk by: Brigitta Petzold, Andre Kaiser, Carsten Aßmann, Markus Brandl
This talk is about our approach to increase collaboration across approximately 300 people at Commerzbank and how to find a way of exceeding performance in the best agile way:
- how we identified the collaboration challenges and agreed on our solution approach
- how we dug deeper into the complexity of our work system topology
- how we designed a coordinative level and its lift off
We are still in the beginning of our journey but will share our learnings and challenges we have faced so far.
about the speaker
Brigitta Petzold is an Agile Coach at Commerzbank AG. Since 2001, she has held various positions in the bank, including more than 10 years in the corporate banking sector. As a project manager, she came into contact with agile methods at an early stage in this dynamic environment and quickly appreciated the advantages. Brigitta has made it her mission to advance agile methods, values and principles and has been supporting the organization in its transformation since 2020 as a Scrum Master and Agile Coach.

The setup of the project was following agile methodology and after the go-life, agile working was adapted also for the DevOps setup. In the current challenge, Carsten is delighted to contribute to the Flight Level methodology, enhancing the existing knowledge and experience in an agile world.
As a partner of Flight Levels Academy, an entrepreneur and computer scientist with over 15 years of experience in implementing complex projects in the fields of technology and innovation, Markus supports companies in discovering and taking off with "their form of collaboration" through the Flight Levels thought model.
